In Loving Memory of Atlas Uriah Strickland

Atlas Uriah Strickland breathed his last breath on this earth just 3 days ago. He was only two. Atlas lost his life in a tragic accident that shook his entire community. He left this earth and his family, and is now in the presence of Jesus. He is survived by his mother and father Evan and Kourtney Strickland and his big sister Koraline.

The church that Atlas’ parents attend have come together and covered all expenses for the funeral. The outpouring of love and support from the community is awe inspiring. In spite of the tragedy, Evan and Kourtney faithfully verbalized “we have never seen how good God is as we have these past few days”.

Evan is a pastor at Antioch Christian Church in Hickory, Mississippi. Ever since Evan and Kourtney met they have been serving God as he has led them literally around the world and now down to the Deep South. They have a heart for God, ministry and people.

Even in their grief Evan and Kourtney have been nothing but generous, hospitable, and selfless to all, offering things like paying for airfare or gas expenses for family and friends so that everyone can mourn together and honor Atlas’s memory.
