I’m actually so embarrassed to have to do this, but my dog Simba is everything to me and my son and I just wanna save him! My dog Simba started what looked like he was hallucinating the other day, acting like he was biting flies that were in the air, swatting at them, and spinning in circles over and over, but really there were no flies in sight. His ear was also bleeding, so I thought maybe he had an ear infection. I took him to the vet, and they said that his eardrum ruptured and that he has “fly biting seizures.” They treated him for the ruptured eardrum and told me he needs to see a neurologist to get a brain scan, which I cannot afford.
I’m a full-time nursing student right now and have two kids, so I definitely cannot afford to take him to the neurologist and then treat him as well. If I can’t get him into the neurologist to get a brain scan, then I will have to put him down because without treatment, the seizures will progress, and he will be suffering, and I’m not willing to watch him suffer. Simba is the perfect dog, and he is only TWO! My 8-year-old son, who literally sleeps on Simba's back every night as if he is his pillow, will be absolutely CRUSHED! Simba is his best friend. Simba is all of our best friends. My pride and ego want to tell me to take this down, but I’m willing to do anything to save my baby. So if y'all can help at all, we would be so grateful.
