Ashlyn’s Breast Cancer Fight

Ashlyn is a beautiful, kind, and loving 28-year-old wife, mother, daughter, friend, and second-grade teacher, living a life she loves and loving the life she's living! Her world has just been defined by a Stage IIIb Breast Cancer Diagnosis.

Ashlyn's past few weeks have been filled with prayers, questions, doctor appointments, and tests both for herself and her third baby boy, Barrett, who is just at 32 weeks gestation. The decision has been made to deliver Barrett this coming week. She will deliver with her husband Kyle by her side along with the team of OB & NICU doctors.

This is necessary in order to start aggressively treating Ashlyn's cancer the following week with 24 weeks of chemotherapy coupled with immunotherapy. This course of treatment will continue into the early part of next year. Then she will begin the next phase of her treatment, which is also expected to last for an extended period of time.

Ashlyn and Kyle's middle son, Bennett, is also facing his own medical treatments, surgeries, and challenges this fall.

The last thing that should be a focus for this family is the worry over mounting medical expenses. We all want to help in any way we can, so please remember that there is no prayer too great, and no donation too small.

My hope for establishing this page is that the sole focus for this beautiful young family can be directed to their faith and the fight they're faced with. Believing that the fear of the unknown is one of the most difficult parts of this journey, I know that with prayer and support we can make their mountain a little easier to climb.
