Guatemala Mission Trip

Hi! As many of you know, this is our son Joseph Johnson.  He likes to simply go by "Joe".  Joe's school has planned a mission trip to Guatemala during spring break this March. They would be partnering with Potter's Field Ministry. Potter's Field has a permanent outreach ministry established near Antigua and are highly involved with  the locals in the surrounding areas. Joe and his classmates would help in some of their endevores, which include teaching English in some of the schools, using his construction skills for some building maintenance projects, helping prepare the  facility for "Holy Week", (since the locals celebrate Christ's ressurection for a full 3 weeks! And very seriously for one week!), and Joe, especially would learn some Spanish worship songs so he and his classmates could minister to the children! Joseph and the young adults at our school are so excited about this opportunity! They look forward to putting their hands and feet into action to share God's love! (They're a little nervous too because they're new at this!) (But, they'll have the guidance of seasoned missionaries!) So, we're hoping to raise some money to help offset our expenses and if we're able to raise more, to apply it to the other team members. We are so thrilled that they have the opportunity to serve! experience! learn! and grow in God's plan for their lives! Thank you so much for wanting to be a part of it!
