Hi, my name is Megan and a few years ago I signed up to go on an expedition to Estwatini, Africa with My World Challenge. To fund this I had planned several fundraising events, however, like many others due to COVID, these were cancelled along with the trip. Now that COVID restrictions have eased I am now fundraising for My World Challenge to help those who are less fortunate than myself. In July 2022, I will be going to Cambodia to partake in wildlife conservation, working with elephant and sun bear sanctuaries, trekking through the Kulen Mountains and exploring various monuments and cities within the country.
To raise money for this amazing opportunity I am going to be doing a sponsored hike. I will be completing the Coledale Horseshoe in the Lake District: it is 13 miles, climbing 8 Wainwright peaks, which is not just going to help me raise money but will prepare me for the physical endurance I will face, so I need your help to reach my goal of at least £1000 which will cover the last bit of the trip that in total has cost £4500.
If the weather is too severe to complete this, I will be hiking a double loop around Derwentwater which is 20 miles in total.
Hopefully this won’t have to be my plan B but I am prepared to be challenged in anyway.
Thank you for your support.
