Kayla M. Sena - Memorial Fund
Donation protected
Kayla lost her brave battle with Brain Stem Cancer on 7/23/15 at the very young age of 18. She has been ill for the majority of her short life; she has had numerous tumors in her brain and on her spine since she was 7 years old. Kayla was unbelievably brave, strong and valiantly fought to live right up until the end. Kayla & Lisa made the decision to donate Kayla's brain and spinal cord to medical research in the hopes of saving someone else's life, showing yet again Kayla's compassion and loving heart. Her concern was always for her beloved 14 year old brother Jason, her mom Lisa, dad Keith and the rest of her extended family and friends. Due to the severity of Kayla's illness and the care that was required, her mom became her full-time, around the clock caretaker; this was necessary to make sure Kayla didn't stop breathing. This necessity made it impossible for Lisa to work outside of home. Her sole source of income was from Kayla's disability. Our hope is to be able to raise enough money to help Lisa and Jason until she is able to get a job and get back on her feet, giving her one less thing to worry about while she is grieving the loss of her child. Thank you and God Bless!
