My sweet fur baby, Maribel, has recently been diagnosed with osteosarcoma, a bone cancer that inflicts severe pain by degrading the affected bone. Initially dismissed as a muscle sprain, the reality turned out to be much graver.

X-rays revealed that her right humerus displayed a minimally rounded surface at the head of her humerus connecting to her shoulder. Fortunately, the cancer has not spread to her lungs. To alleviate her excruciating pain, the recommended course of action is a comprehensive amputation, removing her entire right leg and a portion of the scapula. This procedure is essential, as the effectiveness of medication alone is limited. After the amputation procedure, Maribel will undergo chemotherapy to address any lingering cancer cells in her body.
