Rod and Lyddia are two of the kindest people you will ever meet. You feel blessed to know them and they have touched many lives with their caring hearts. Unfortunately, Rod and Lyddia have been dealt a tough hand right now and can use the support of family and friends.

In the spring of 2023, Rod discovered some health issues with his heart. They tried multiple procedures before Rod underwent open heart surgery on December 14th. On December 20th, their second blow came when Lyddia was diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer. While Rod is working through his recovery, Lyddia’s cancer fight has begun.

Amongst all the emotional stress they have, we hope to ease the burden of financial stress for them. Rod has been unable to work for the majority of 2023 due to his heart issues and has not been cleared to return to work yet. Their procedures occurring in 2 separate calendar years, result in 2 separate deductibles and medical bills. Unfortunately, their deductible has tripled and is now $20,000 out of pocket for 2024.

We created this fundraiser for them, because if you know the Asman’s, you also know they would never ask for financial support themselves. Any sort of support is welcome right now whether it is emotional, physical, or financial. We want to see them fight this fight with all the tools they need and kick 2023 and 2024 to the curb!
