We’re heading to the TCS Amsterdam Mizuno Half Marathon on October 18, and we’re running it together to support CP Extension, a charity inspired by runners Jamie & Elle's incredible cousin, Marybeth Scheld!

Marybeth was both with cerebral palsy (CP) and as a result has significant intellectual and motor disabilities. Despite these challenges, MB has persevered, living very happily into adulthood—as you can tell by her smile in every photo! But when she was diagnosed with stage 3 colon cancer a few years ago, her family experienced firsthand how difficult it can be to find providers with the expertise and respect needed to care for individuals with complex disabilities. Recognizing many families may face similar challenges, MB's sister Kathleen co-founded CP Extension.

CP Extension's mission is to support families affected by cerebral palsy by offering guidance in care coordination, provider networking, and financial grants. (They've just awarded their 17th grant!)
