Support Our Move to Safety

I was abused by one of my brothers in 2019 and have been on and off dealing with his negligence for my niece and nephew. It is still happening right now, and I’m afraid it will go further, and I will be abused again. We have been having arguments about them not doing what they need to as parents, about taking and using the entirety of things that I buy for myself or my son and expecting me to also get food for them as well when I make sure to get the kids food but seeing them be able to get snacks and order food and buy drugs, I know they can also buy food for their own kids. At the end of the day, I help out because that’s my niece and nephew as well but I am also a single mom and receiving help myself and they are two parents who do the bare minimum. I was also raped by another one of my brother’s friends, and even after speaking up on May 1st, I was told by that brother that he wants me out on May 5th. He continuously brings his friend back into the household after. I saw him the night of Mother’s Day and saw him earlier today, May 17th, walking outside of my family’s home, knowing my dad kicked him out. Between my older brother and his current girlfriend and my younger brother and his friend, I haven’t been in a safe environment where I am protected by everyone inside the house outside of my dad, my uncle, and other brothers. But everyone can only help so much and have to work and do things for themselves and for their kids as well.

With that all being explained, I am currently seeking donations to help pay for any moving expenses I will need to move out, as well as looking for resources for single mothers—anything that will help my plan to move out come faster. I just got hired at a job that pays well and has good benefits that I am really wanting to make sure I keep and stay at for a long time to help with my dreams, rent, etc. With this job, my plans to move felt more real, but I didn’t see it happening until the end of the summer. I am hoping that I can raise enough donations and find good programs like low-income housing in a place that is good for me and my son to jumpstart my plans because I will be able to pay for everything I need after with my job. I get my first full paycheck on June 3rd and will continue weekly after that. I appreciate any type of support, whether it be donations, prayers, written support, conversations, hangouts, anything to keep me focused and keep me on the right path to better my life for me and my son.
