My brother was diagnosed with Stage 4 Melanoma Cancer this year, and we have quickly realized how expensive cancer treatments are. The cancer is currently spreading, but multiple doctors state he still has a fighting chance. We are trying to get him started on chemotherapy and immunotherapy to stop the spreading, but due to constant insurance restraints, he cannot begin yet. We will be needing to start his treatment out of pocket to increase his survival chance. He was recommended to go to the leading cancer institute for clinical trials, which again means more money.
