Support Mike Burke and his Family

We are long-time friends and family of Michael Burke Jr. We are trying to raise funds to support Michael and his family as they go through a very difficult time. On 11/30/15, Michael was taken to an emergency room in Green Bay, WI with a severe migraine headache. Shortly after arriving, a CT scan revealed a large mass deep within his brain. After a grueling week of testing and a biopsy procedure, they learned that this tumor is a high-grade form of cancer called anaplastic edendymoma (Stage 3) and is located on the vesticular lining of his brain. It is a rare form of cancer that is generally found in children. The tumor is about 2.5 inches in diameter and is located about 2 inches deep in his brain.

Treatment plans and preparations are underway for a very complex surgery to remove the tumor. Michael will very likely be receiving radiation and/or chemotherapy in the months following the procedure. He will be transported to the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN to undergo this surgery. 

Michael and his family have a very long and trying road ahead of them. He is currently, and for the foreseeable future will remain, unable to work. Jennifer is currently on her maternity leave after the recent birth of their daughter Kaitlyn. Until Michael and Jennifer are able to return to work, they are in much need of our support. We hope to support them monetarily to ease their burdens where possible.
