Treatment for Tony

Donation protected
On the morning of Tuesday, October 29th, 2019, while most of us slept, our beloved Tony, was involved in a horrific vehicle accident. While providing traffic protection for the crews working on the roadway his vehicle was struck by a Dump Truck traveling at high speeds. The impact was so profound that it flipped to its side after decimating Tony’s vehicle with him in it. The heroic state police were the first ones at the scene and immediately intervened by initiating a tourniquet to his most critical wounds in order to prevent him from bleeding out. This kept Tony alive while firefighters used Jaws of Life to get him out of his crushed vehicle. In addition, as paramedics/EMT’s were transporting him into the ambulance Tony’s brothers had to be held back as they were also on scene.

Tony was rushed to a Level 1 Trauma Center in critical condition where he underwent a 12+ hour surgery to save his life and stabilize him.

At this time, Tony remains in an induced coma and continues to suffer from countless severely broken/ fractured bones all over his body as well as facial and cranial trauma. Swelling, open wounds and other factors have prevented doctors from continuing with corrective surgeries. The army of surgical teams taking care of him are optimistic and that has given us hope, but much is still unknown. Potential brain injuries remain a possibility and as we all know are life changing.

Tony who just celebrated his 50th birthday on October 14th, is not only a beloved part of our family, but also an incredible friend and the hardest worker we know. He always puts his family first, does all he can to support them and still makes time to help anyone in need.  Tony loves putting a smile on your face, no matter what. He is the first one to welcome you into his home, the first one to give you the food off his plate, or the shirt off his back.

We Tony's family, friends, and colleagues have set up this page for anyone who wishes to donate. Whether or not you’re able to help, please consider sharing this fundraiser outward within your community at hand.

We would love if you would share with us a favorite “Tony” story below. Maybe some great on the job stories or just how you got to know and love him!

Tony’s wife Rosa Salvador, would like to extend her heartfelt thanks for all the incredible support shown to Tony and the family during this extremely difficult time.
