Corrinne Lockamy needs a new wheelchair

My manual wheelchair has seen its last visit to be fixed. I was informed that it is tooooo old (almost 12 years old) and that I need a new one. I would love the one pictured above.
The wheels are power assisted so I would be able to get around as I would with a scooter, yet be able to ge it in and out of a car like a wheelchair. This is a dream!! I orginally saw this in 2003 but it was an international product and was nothing I could afford.
It is now available and retails for $9,000 and with the modifications I would have to make (as I needed with my manual chair) the cost goes up.
I don't qualify for assistance of any sort as I am working full time, earning a Ph.D and more. My insurance doesn't cover it either.
This would be a dream come true!
