Byron Forte has dedicated the past 18 years of his life to helping others as an Emergency Medical Technician in Hudson County, New Jersey. Since I met him, I've known nobody to work as hard or as relentlessly as he does, all the while demonstrating the same compassion that drew many of us to the field to begin with. Byron has touched so many of us at various points in our careers. As a "green" EMT fresh out of the suburbs, Byron offered me the guidance, patience, and ruthless ball-busting that helped shape my early career.

Now it's our turn to help him. Byron is currently in intensive care after suffering a significant bleed. Any contribution you can make would help offset the costs of his medical bills.
