Many may know and others may not, but this small place in Tzaneen South Africa changed my life in 2005. I spent a wonderful month volunteering with this amazing group of individuals to save and rehabilitate a species that was considered vermin in that country. The Vervet Monkey Foundation is a small but mighty place that is run by amazing people and relies on donations and volunteers to continue their amazing work. I have, for years, helped them get deworming medication from here in Canada that they are unable to get there and get to it then via a volunteer travelling that way. In all the years I’ve done this, we’ve never had issues getting it to them. Sadly, that has changed with the most recent batch of medication. It was stolen or misplaced somewhere along the route from here in Vernon to a volunteers house in Edmonton. This is a huge financial loss for a non-profit. I’m just trying to help them recuperate this massive loss, and get them the medication they need to keep these amazing animals healthy. Please help in any way you can, even $5 helps. Thanks so much.
