Dear Friends and Family

I always knew I would need an Angel. And my sister always knew she would be that Angel.

Those of you who know me know that I am in need of a kidney Transplant. Without hesitation my sister Brenda offered to be my donor. My Angel. After a year of a lot of testing and numerous doctors appointments. In February she was cleared to be my donor. Unfortunately, she just found out she was not approved for compensation for paid time off. Apparently Contract employees who work for an out of state company do not pay into RI TDI. Despite this she has not waivered in her commitment to be a donor. I have created this Go-Fund-Me to assist her with expenses that she incur while she is recovering. I was three years old when I was diagnosed with obstructive uropathy and hydronephrosis. Although I was treated, we were told that I would eventually need a kidney transplant. That time has come.

Let me tell you a little about my sister. She was born around the same time I was diagnosed. Like all big sisters I was not happy to have another baby in the house – especially a baby girl. And like most big sisters I was not always the nicest to her. Brenda raised 3 children and is now the grandparent of five. She is the best mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and friend and partner I know. She would do anything for anyone and ask nothing in return. She is nurturing and compassionate in everything she does. She is the most caring person I Know. She is willing to give such a wonderful gift to save my life.
