University in America

Hi everyone, my name is Rachel Macrae and I come from the East End of Glasgow. University of Tampa in Florida USA and Pace University New York, has offered me an unconditional place to study Forensic Science in 2021.  I have set up this Go Fund Me page to help me raise money to achieve my dream of studying in an American university. I know the course fees are very high, but I want to prove to myself and other young people from the East End that no matter how much things cost, or no matter your family circumstances or where you come from, you can still achieve your dreams. STEM subjects are very male dominated areas, so I would also like to help encourage other women interested in STEM subjects to push forward with their goals.  


The Forensic Science course in the University of Tampa and Pace University is designed to prepare students for careers as forensic scientists. During this course I will receive training in the fields of crime scene investigation, forensic chemistry, forensic toxicology, forensic biology, forensic firearms examinations, and fire debris analysis. 


These universities have the most detailed and structured forensic science course I have came across during my research, which is why it has always been my number 1 choice. It goes into depth about all sides of forensic science and does not focus on one specific area, like the ones I’ve seen in the past. Campus is also directly in the city, which would allow me to adapt to the new place, and have better opportunities to meet new people with similar interests.
