Noah’s Heart

Donation protected

Noah is one of my dearest friends son. He was born with a heart defect that caused him to need a heart transplant when hewas little. His body fought against that heart until eventually he needed another transplant. He was blessed with his second heart two years ago but is still fighting rejection. Here is her story

Noah is now into year 2 of his second heart transplant. He’s been feeling good and getting through the pandemic like everyone else. Unfortunately, when we visited Stanford for his biopsy in February the doctors discovered he is in 1B rejection. This isn’t his first bout with this persistent rejection. The doctors have decided the best way to deal with the rejection before it causes further damage to his new heart is to do radiation directed at the inflammation and rejection sites in his heart. This is new ground for us and the care is on the adult side at Stanford. The treatment is twice weekly radiation for a 7 week period. On March 14th Noah and Mom leave for California for the next 7 weeks. Noah and his family will lose moms income during this time, and could use your help and support to get them through this trying time. They are always grateful for your love and friendship, and always welcome thoughts and prayers!
