Gunners ACL’s are torn. :( both of them! My sweet puppers Gunner was adopted by me in 2017 from the Humane Society after the Sonoma County fires. He was incredibly overweight and It was my promise to better his life, get him to lose the 30 lbs he needed to lose and show him unconditional love. Being as overweight as he was, he was running (as happy as can be) and tore his ACL on his left hind leg. Unfortunately with months of overcompensation with his right leg, that one tore as well. I am a fully self-supporting 25 year old Graduate student, and I work full time. As much as I absolutely feel ashamed and disgust around asking for help (especially financially), gunner is unable to exercise and be the active dog that he needs and deserves to be and He, really, needs the help.
