Hi, my name is Melissa and I want to start a fundraiser for my relatives, including my brother, Oswaldo and his family, my other sister in law and niece, and cousins, aunts/uncles in Southern Leyte, Philippines. A powerful typhoon hit the southern and central island provinces of the Philippines on Friday night, killing at least 31 people and leaving hundreds without electricity and drinking water. We are fortunate that none of my family members were injured; however, they are returning to their damaged homes, most without electricity or drinking water. My brother’s roof, as well as my parent’s home, are extensively damaged and need to be totally repaired.

With only one week away from Christmas, it’s sad to know that it won’t be a joyful one for them. It breaks my heart knowing that instead of planning and getting ready for Christmas, they are now trying to find food, drinking water and repair supplies. Please help my family as they try to survive after this devastation. Any amount whether great or small will help with repairing the homes roof and structural damages. Thank you in advance.
