Brandons' Brave Battle

My name is Curstyn. I am the oldest daughter of five siblings. Although we are a blended family we love, fight and make up all the same. Less than two weeks ago, I was on my nightly call with my mother. She was telling me all about how my step-dad has been making light hearted jokes about her spicy spaghetti, that accidentally became too spicy. He let EVERYONE know that he would be experiencing it for days… but less than twelve hours later I received a call that made me drop to my knees. 

My step-dad had been airlifted to Christiana Hospital after having what we thought at the time was a stroke. After further testing, Brandon was rushed into emergency surgery to remove a ruptured tumor in his brain. Five days on a ventilator and hours of prayer later, Brandon was thankfully moved from the ICU. It was at this point that it was confirmed that he  is now fighting Metastatic Melanoma that has spread to his brain and other parts of his body. While we are encouraged by the progress he has made recovering from surgery; we know the fight against cancer is just the beginning. Brandon, my mom Sarah, and all five of us kids (Curstyn, Brooklynn, Bryce, Ava, Lily) could use your love, prayers and help during this time.

Brandon will be undergoing aggressive treatment for his cancer. There will be many expenses incurred from his medivac, the ongoing doctor visits, loss of work, home expenses etc. Many people have asked to help so we decided to start this Go Fund Me account to help ease the burden of all these extra expenses.
