On June 11 Isaac had a quad accident. He went out on his quad when the throttle got stuck, leaving him unsure how to respond with his speed increasing. The last he checked the speed he was doing 65 km/hr, after dodging a few things he crashed the quad and went flying off. At the time his injuries were believed to be a nasty cut needing 16 stitches and a sprained knee and ankle. We all Thanked God because he could have easily died. He seemed to recover and returned to work.

In September he returned to Bible College. He began to play soccer which seemed to aggravate the injury. In October, ihe began his many visits to emergency, With spasms in knees increasing drastically, he continued to seek medical help which was difficult to obtain. By November it was thought he had torn ligaments in his knee. He was referred to a specialist through more testing they determined he had a partially torn acl and hamstring. Physio was the treatment plan.

Due to the level of spasm that progressively increased, he was unable to make progress. The spasm continued to get worse to becoming full body spasms in which every muscle in his body spasms. This lead him to emergency and to be rushed by ambulance to hospital in Saskatoon.

After testing, he was given the diagnosis of Functional Neurological Disorder which is a rare, brain-based condition that disrupts the nervous system's communication pathways. It affects how the brain sends and receives information to the body, impacting movement, feeling, speech, walking, and thinking. Through rehabilitation, he can recover, but it can take years. The average is about 2-3 year, but every patient is different.

Isaac pushed through last semester but in December was told he needed to leave the College because of his health. With nowhere to go, thankful for Tessa’s parents who were willing to take him in since already at that time there was no way he could travel home.

Isaac is unable to work and so far has not been able to qualify for disability. At this time Tessa, and him or navigating how to proceed her parents' home is small and not handicap friendly. He will need various assistive mobility devices, rehab equipment, and intensive physiotherapy. This go fund is to help take the financial stress off for Isaac as he begins his journey to recover.
