I'm sick. I don't really like that word, but it's the truth. I have (ovarian) cancer. Make that I have cancer, again. This makes round three. And the doctor has told me that once it comes back it will always keep coming back. The plan is to treat it with the hopes it will stay away longer. Not necessarily what you want to hear about your situation.
But that's life. I have choices on how I can proceed. I could choose to not do treatment and see how long I'll live. Which trust me I've thought about that. Or I can choose to keep on fighting, as I'm still relatively young, and see how my body does with the new treatment. And that's what I'm choosing to do.
Before cancer came back, this time, I was driving as a ride share driver. I could continue to do that but it puts me at a higher risk of getting covid19, not to mention not being able to work a lot due to side effects from chemotherapy.
As a military veteran I have the VA taking care of my medical needs. But I need help, as I have five more months of treatment, with every day expenses: i.e. rent, insurance, electric, groceries, etc.
I'm a woman of faith and despite my circumstances I continue to keep my faith and HOPE alive. Please consider donating, no amount is too small, as well as passing this page on to others.
