Hi, my name is Kathy and I have started this fundraiser to assist my daughter Beth, and her beloved fur baby, Luna.

Luna and Beth have been together for 12 years and have a very special bond. They support each other through everything, are the best of friends and literally never leave one another’s side.

Sadly, Luna has recently been diagnosed with a massive liver tumour. Left untreated, this will be fatal. The vets believe Luna is a candidate for surgery, and if successful, her prognosis is much brighter - she could have years left to live.

Luna still requires more testing to ensure she is well enough to undergo the operation that could save her life. The estimate we have received for the surgery is $8,000 - $10,000.

Beth is disabled and on a fixed income. She has already exhausted her savings doing everything she can to save her best friend. Diagnostic tests, imaging, vet visits, and medications have already cost several thousand dollars.

Beth is not in the financial position to cover the significant costs of the surgery and Luna’s required care. We now find ourselves in the position of asking our family, friends, and wider community for help in raising funds to assist with Luna’s ongoing vet costs and her surgery.
