Relocation Help
If you know my family and me, you know my family means everything to me. Through our trails and tribulations our family only grows closer. June 1 my two daughters moved from their apartment to a house. June 16 at 6 AM, their house had a fire and the home was a total loss. Thanks God the girls' neighbor broke in to wake them up from a sound sleep, the fire alarms/smoke detectors did not sound. Although they are young, 19 and 21, over the last 2 years they have worked fulltime jobs, attended school and have created a comfortable home for themselves. After this devastating event, June 16 changed everything. They are alive and have their cars, everything else has been destroyed. We do not know anyone who has personally been a victim of this sort of event; the fear, worry, anxiety, is truly a great strain. The girls unplug everything they walk by that is not in use, the compulsion to check and recheck fire alarms is constant. They are living back at our house, and we are working with their renters insurance to recover what they can to start again. The cost of securing a new place and covering the deposits and other incidentals is enormous. Any help towards helping the girls rebuild what they worked so hard for is greatly appreciated.
