Supporting Daisey

Daisey Salls is the busy mom of two boys, a daughter, a wife, a friend and a business owner here in South Royalton. She is currently in the middle of treatment for Breast Cancer and is still all of the above to many, many people. If you have ever shopped at RB's Deli you have surely met Daisey and her husband Tony. You may have even seen their boys Corey (14) and Danny (10) there sometimes before and after school. They are very involved with the boys. They boys are learning virtually this year due to covid so Daisey is also the teacher from home.
Maybe you haven't been in the store but here is how you might have benefited from the multiple ways they have supported our community. They have hired numerous high school students to work for them over the years and have scheduled work hours around many extra-curricular activities so kids could still be kids and work. They have packed numerous lunches/dinners, waters and gatorades for local students attending sporting events, senior trips or marching parades at a discounted price.
They are also known to just show up at a game down on the high school fields and hand out ice cream or waters to people cheering on the local athletes.
You may have noticed how nice the park in SoRo looks once the Christmas lights go up for the holidays. They team up with John Leighton and make the park look festive. They also will do things under the radar that people really don't notice like make sure there were drinks and donuts at the fire station the night of a big fire in town.
Daisey and Tony are grateful to Elyssa who is helping them keep the store open but not being able to be there full time themselves is a big financial concern.
No matter what it is Daisey and Tony have supported our community. Daisey has many months ahead of her for more treatment and it's time we help them.
