My Multiple Sclerosis Journey
Donation protected
Hello everyone! What a journey, phew on July 19th, 2023 it was confirmed by a nerologist that I have 5 lesions on my brain which is a diagnosis of M.S.
During the past 2 yrs. I've been poked and prodded moved cross country moved across state lines chasing down employment opportunities, was diagnosed, formally notified employer of diagnosis/disability and was terminated five days later...
Having resided on property I was given 3 hours to pack my belongings and vacate the premises, was offered a hotel for the night and I would have to schedule a time to collect my belongings...
Ugh
Which leads me to the here and now, I've managed to acquire bills, am not eligible for unemployment, health insurance runs out at the end of the month, I do have resources but need help with funding as I plan on going back to school and apply for disability insurance, I did pay into short and long term disability via my employer however that ended when I was terminated I am not eligible.
I accepted this job back in April with a diagnosis of long haul Co-Vid that ended up being yet another false diagnosis.
So, long story short it's been a hard road, I am grateful to have a proper diagnosis now I can adjust accordingly but will need to learn to ask for help from others...
Thank you for your support!!!
