Update: now Rosie needs both legs done but it will be one at a time. The first one is done and she is healing up! Please help if you can on the second.

If you know me, you’ve definitely heard me talk about, seen too many pics of, or have spent time with Rosie the Choco Pup (her government name). Rosie is a very sweet 8 1/2 yr old lab mix who has her best day whenever someone comes to our apartment. She is a very passionate lover of people.

We just found out that Rosie desperately needs a costly surgery for a torn ligament in her “knee”. It’s her CCL, she’ll need to have TPLO surgery to stabilize it and continue her happy life bouncing and giving everyone kisses.

We’ve shopped around and found the most affordable way to go about this is at SurgiPet in Buford. Even though they are almost $2k less than other places because of their dedication to affordable surgery, the cost is still around $4k, which goes way beyond my means. Each surgery will cost this much.

I will be contributing as much as possible. But I wanted to ask for help from the people who also love Rosie. It isn’t easy to do this. Rosie and I are independent women! But we know we have a strong community. Even if I don’t hit my goal, the money I do raise goes to help offset my costs.

We just had surgery on her right leg. We’ll make a game plan for her left leg as she heals. As I’ll be finding a way to cover this cost up front, please feel free to donate even after the surgery so that I can pay toward that cost.
