Hello, my name is Laura. I'm a single mother, special education teacher, licensed scuba diver, and recently, I was diagnosed with stage 2 invasive ductal carcinoma (breast cancer).

I'm still working through the shock of it all. Facing surgery, recovery, and the unknown ahead has been draining emotionally and financially. Even with health insurance, costs are expected to be around 30 thousand dollars out of pocket.
