My name is Julie Parker and this fund raiser is for a friend of mine, really a friend to anyone. Emily Sheridan is a 39 year old woman who has just been diagnosed with a later stage of cervical cancer. She is also one of the hardest working single parents you could ever know supporting 2 children Willow who is 5, and Sophia 14. She also has a 22 year old son, Eric who just purchased his first home in Edgerton. Emily herself is just a beautiful old soul that embraces life, her kids, nature and nurture as well. She has a garden and chickens, she likes to can, forage for mushrooms, hunt deer, and has been going to school to learn more about holistic medicine to help others.

Now the timing, well Emily has been laid off from Chrysler in Belvidere now for a while, and of course this issue did catch her without health insurance, although that is hopefully is in the process of being worked out. Still, as a cancer surivivor myself I know there are going to be many unexpected and unplanned expenses along the way. Since like so many her budget is already stretched thin I'm asking if you can help just a little please do.

This has happened quick enough that we really don't know all that lies ahead right now, but there will be lots of gas needed for trips back and forth to appointments (or maybe even some rides), there will also be insurance co-pays, etc....so every little bit will help. Anything we can do to help her is appreciated. And I am sure I will be able to add some updates as we go.
