Over the last few years, the chronic pain in my back has progressed to the point that standing for any significant length of time is debilitating. Last year, it cost me my job. I spent nearly a year trying to find a new job, hoping I could leverage my manufacturing skills to an office environment. While prospective employers are eager to offer me work I can't physically do anymore, they ghost me when I apply for work I can do.

I applied for disability in April. The average response time is six months. In the meantime, I'm dependent on the generosity of my friends to pay my rent and utilities. Hopefully, this situation is temporary and I'll be approved sometime in October. Until then, I'm asking for any help you can spare to avoid living in my car. My goal is my expenses for one month.
