Annie McMahon has been one of my best friends throughout my entire life. She has been fighting Cystic Fibrosis her entire life, however it really took a toll on her in her most recent years. As a double lung transplant was always in the cards for Annie at some point in her lifetime, this became reality when she needed to be put on life support this past October, because her lungs stopped working. Luckily, on October 23rd, Annie earned her second chance at life and received a double lung transplant. Through prayers, hard work, and Annie's amazing strength, she came out on top and has finally been able to leave the hospital after 98 days of recovery. Her recovery process has been filled with many setbacks, however, Annie was finally able to return home on January 25th and start the life she deserves. On February 4th, I will be doing the Polar Plunge for Annie McMahon in Rockaway, NY, and all proceeds will go towards covering the costs of Annie's transplant. Any amount can help Annie throughout her recovery, and is greatly appreciated!
