It took me a long time to write this letter because I've never asked for any help... Actually it's not easy to ask for help.
My name is Alex and I am a 33 years old man, living in Dublin, Ireland. News about the deadly diagnosis was very unexpected... Brain tumor, brain cancer, very rare type, and hard-to-reach tumor. Shock, stress, tears, and unwillingness to believe that could happen, especially when you are just 22 years of age. The young man, who had a normal life socializing with friends up until September 2009, but my life has significantly changed since. Biopsy, brain shunt, multiple radiotherapies. Headache, nausea, vomiting, long days in bed, depression, visual impairment...these are only some of my side effects. Some of my friends fly over and come to visit me. But when they leave, I spend hours to calm down.
My life is now divided into two: before diagnosis and after. I stayed strong despite anything. After multiple sessions of radiotherapy and two rehabilitations a year, which I paid for, I thought that this nightmare is over. I studied online hoping to get back to real life and enjoy the years ahead as a cancer survivor.
But in May this year, I was admitted to the hospital with a stroke and left-side paralysis. Three long months of rehabilitation and I was discharged home with very low mobility.
I need a complex of physiotherapy and neurological/physical recuperation of the brain's and bodily vital functions as concentration, attention, endocrine systems suffered tremendously. This is a system of complex procedures, which can be undergone in specialised clinics only. Recuperation sessions can take up to a few months and need to be repeated in some time. These procedures are vital for the quality of my life now and in the future. This treatment is very expensive and I will not be able to afford it myself. I really need your help.
I beg you to help me and give me a chance to stay alive.
If you need any evidence or my Medical docs just pm me.
