Lionel's "Kids" Memorial Fund

Please Help Support Lionel's "Kids"! On Jan. 21, 2014, my best friend, Lionel Wade, passed away unexpectedly, leaving behind family, friends and his beloved "kids" (8 semi-feral cats which he rescued and raised from kittens). Lionel was a serious cat lover and these cats were like family to him. Long before this happened, coincidentally, one day he had asked me if I would take care of them if anything ever happened to him. I promised him I would and now I'm keeping that promise. Several of his "kids" are friendly and adoptable, but since most of them are unsocialized and unadoptable, they would have been put down unless I could find a place to care for them the rest of their lives. Thankfully, I did find a wonderful cat sanctuary called Fat Kitty City, who will do just that! However, the cost is $1500 per cat, which includes, food, shelter, care and vet services for life. I am trying to raise funds to help cover the costs which I paid up front. A donation in any amount would be greatly appreciated! In tribute to Lionel, several of his friends have already generously offered to sponsor one cat each.
If we cover the costs through additional donations, any surplus will go directly to the sanctuary to support the important and compassionate work they do to save abused, injured and unwanted cats. Thank you on behalf of myself and Lionel...and his "kids"!
