Hi, my name is Marco and I’m fundraising for my wife Stephanie who is having surgery in Australia to prevent early cancer from spreading from her breast. She is having a mastectomy and reconstruction in Sydney about 6hrs drive from our home.

As she does not yet have citizenship in Australia she is not covered by Medicare, her insurance covers the hospital stay but a small share of specialist/surgery costs.

Stephanie will also be unable to work for at least 3 months following the surgery due to recovery and follow up surgery.

We have had some financial help from our family but are left with more than $15,000 in costs from specialist/surgery fees at this stage, any funds raised will help with these fees.
