Sadie is my 5 year old Weimaraner. On Monday 4/25 she was diagnosed with lymphoma and lung cancer.
Sadie came to me as an abused rescue at 92lbs and I helped her get to a healthy weight of 65lbs. May 5th will be her 2nd gotcha day with me
Sadie is my first ever dog and this is absolutely killing me. She is my heart dog, my doggy soulmate, and everything in between. I cannot fathom this life without her.
I will do anything in my power to help her fight this. I can tell she isn’t ready to leave us and she has a fighting spirit but Sadie does not get treatment in the next week she will only have 2-3 weeks to live.
This gut wrenching news for me and my family. I do have some insurance for Sadie, but it only covers 80% of the diagnosing costs and 80% of her chemo from a traditional vet. It does not cover the oncologist vet visit fees and we have to go every week for a 20 week period. I’m hoping this fund will help cover the additional care needed to give Sadie the arsenal she needs to fight this off.
From the estimates I have received for traditional treatment, holistic treatment and follow up visits (these are not covered by insurance).
This chemo protocol gives Sadie a 95% chance of going into remission. With the holistic vet visits we are hopeful we will be able to use a variety of natural Chinese supplements, medications and treatments to help put her in remission.
We are going to be a minimum of $8,000 out of pocket, in just the next few months with these treatments.
If you can find it in your heart to help us even a little keep our heart dog in our lives it would mean the absolute world. We are devastated with this news, any kind words and prayers are much appreciated.
