Help for Valerie

So after months of dealing with endless doctors appointments and plastic surgeon meetings, Val had gotten a skin graft to cover the wound.While they were in surgery they found an infection in her tibia, so with the limited options that were available Val has decided to amputate her foot. It will be from about mid-shin down and it is definitely going to be a rough road ahead of her.  We are all asking for love and support during this difficult time, but also for the best well wishes to Val because she is a fighter and is already setting goals for herself after she is able to start getting fitted for a prosthetic. Thank you to everyone who has taken the time to read, reach out, donate, and send their love, it really means so much to Val as well as our family during this tough past 6 months. We continue to ask for prayers and love in the next coming months❤️

I’m writing this message because my sister Valerie was involved in a pretty serious car accident on Saturday 12/12/20, which involved her swerving off the road and flipping the car several times. She was then airlifted to Christ where she has and is being treated for a comminuted fracture in her tibia and fibula into 8-9 pieces with a dislocated ankle. She also suffered a minor concussion, stitches, and a bruised lung. She is still waiting on a skin graft through plastic surgery and will continue to be in the hospital for almost a month long. With Covid precautions we are not allowed to see her in person and only able to contact her through FaceTime. She is doing better every single day, but we know this is going to be a long road of recovery not only physically but mentally as well. We know this is going to be months of therapy to regain the control of the muscle and nerve damage she encountered, and we also know that our insurance does not cover more than 20 visits a year at a hard max. So we are setting up this go fund me to cover some of the medical costs that my family is going to be hit within these next couple weeks/months, as well as some of the necessities we will need to get for the house in order to make it livable and safe for Val.
