Colleen (Mary Kelly's sister) & I are hoping we collectively can help Mary & Tom with the substantial medical expenses they are facing, which include the spinal surgery, hospital stay at UCSF, rehabilitation, and ongoing physical therapy. Mary has been in constant pain for several years now. On Thursday week before last, she underwent a 5-hour surgery at UCSF to relieve that pain and hopefully recapture a more normal life. She was in the ICU for 2 days then released from the hospital 4 days later to a great Rehab Center (Alta Bates) in Oakland to work on her recovery. We are very happy to be able to say, she's doing significantly better this week!

The exact total $ is TBD at this point. We heard the surgery was $6k but it's not uncommon for the Anesthesiologist fees to be separate and we don't know what the ICU/hospital stay or Rehabilitation Center costs will be. Additionally, Tom is taking leave from work and traveling back and forth to the Bay Area from Chico. Any and all contributions are very much appreciated! Thanks very much!
