Help bring Tom Monaghan home!

As most of you know , my Dad, Tom Monaghan, was involved in a serious motorcycle accident on July 26th. As a result he suffered many many injuries throughout his body including severe damage throughout his left leg. It was honestly a miracle that doctors were able to save his left leg and fortunately he is now on his was to recovery. After almost 7 weeks in two different hospitals he is now starting his rehab in center city and we are also hoping he will be able to talk soon. It is still unclear where and when he will be moved next, although a hospital will certainly be one of those stops. Among other repairs, he is still in need of surgical reconstruction on his knee as well as the several inch piece of his femur that is missing. We are hoping to bring him back to the comfort of his own home when that time comes but several things need to happen before that is possible. While he is lucky enough to have his bedroom on the first floor, his first floor bathroom is currently an empty room. Along with a first floor bathroom being installed, we will also need to make his staircase entryway more handicap accessible. His insurance has been great covering the majority of his hospital bills, but due to the state of the other driver it seems that no additional money will be coming his way. At this point in time we are currently trying to raise money to help assist Tom on his journey back home. The money we raise here will be going towards the aforementioned home modifications. He is facing a long, uphill battle but with your help we can lessen that hill for him.
