My name is Lori Hyne and I live in Chico, CA. I've been working with Sarah Bean to help out this beautiful family as they struggle through one of the hardest trials of their life.
They have been deeply affected by the Anderson Springs Valley Fire. Their names are Ashley Ilyin, Randy Howard, and their precious infant Gavin. The video attached to this campaign shows their neighbors who live 5 doors away trying to escape the fire. I couldn't even imagine this happening in our community. Her mother's home was burned down and they are still unsure of their home as they are still not allowed back into the area. Sarah and I were so fortunate to find someone who has offered them a place to stay for the week. So luckily they will have a place to stay temporarily.
Sarah knows Ashley, Randy, and Gavin very well. They are dear friends of hers. I haven't had the opportunity to meet them in person yet...but I can't wait to give them a big hug and have them feel my support. No one is ever really a stranger because were all in this life together. I would be honored by each and every one of you that can send your support at this time.
Our goal is to raise $5,000 for them for food, items for the baby, and cost for a rental/living expenses in the meantime since they will both be out of work for who knows how long.
I've been calling my mom and giving her updates on this vicious fire claiming so many homes and even lives. Just buying my own home, I can't even imagine what they're going through. They just bought their home in May and have to completely start over.
I know we have all had a time in life where we need help. You never know when it's going to be you and it's so good to give when you can. My heart breaks for them. Their heart is broken. And it's a time where we can all step up to help this family put their life back together one step at a time. I'm so happy they are safe and I truly appreciate your support more than you know...and so do they!
Thank you to all my angels. Lots of LOVE!
