The Aazhi Thaer – The Grand Temple Chariot of Thiruvarur
The Sri Thyagaraja Swamy Temple Chariot in the town of Thiruvarur, the birthplace of Sri Muthuswami Deekshithar, is the largest temple chariot in Asia. It takes thousands of devoted hands working together to pull it through the streets—an enduring symbol of community, unity, and devotion.
Just as the chariot moves forward with the strength of many, we look to your coming together as a community to support the 250th Jayanthi celebration of Sri Muthuswamy Deekshithar.
We wish and hope you will join us and celebrate.
