Dear Friends, Family and Kind Strangers,

It is with a heavy heart that I share the story of my friend, Jennifer Kohn. Jennifer, a loving mother and After-School Care teacher at our school, St Robert, has recently been

diagnosed with stage 3 triple negative invasive ductal carcinoma, an aggressive form of breast cancer. They have also found cancer in her knee and her thyroid. Her life has been turned upside down by this devastating news, but she is facing it with incredible strength and determination.

Jennifer is a hard-working individual, juggling three jobs to provide for her family. However, with her diagnosis, she has been forced to put her work on hold to undergo aggressive

treatment, including 6 months of chemotherapy, then double mastectomy and radiation which could make her unable to work for the next year.

To make matters worse, her daytime job does not offer benefits, leaving her without that income during this critical time. With medical bills coming in and everyday living expenses, the pressure on her family is immense.

As Jennifer fights this battle against cancer, she shouldn’t have to worry about how she will make ends meet or whether she can afford treatment or how she will take care of her 9 year

old daughter. That is why we are reaching out to our Community for support.
