Hello, my name is Ian A. Blow. I am starting this GoFundMe to

stop my mom's business from shutting down due to difficulties onset by Covid-19 by funding her license to sell at sorority conventions, her primary source of income.

My mom is the owner of her own business, ALongLegacyJewelry. Before Covid, she had been running this business successfully for more than 4 years. This business sold Jewelry of her own custom designs at Sorority conventions. My mom's business was really taking off by the time Covid-19 hit, but that created a lot of hardship as it did for many Americans in March 2020. Not only were in-person sales - the main revenue stream for the business - completely halted for over a year, but a the factories where my mom sourced her jewelry were also out of commission for several months. My mom's revenue over the last 2 years was close to 20% of her revenue the year before the pandemic.

For the last 2 years, my mom has been able to stay afloat from a combination of the profits she accrued from the years past and the government Covid assistance loans for businesses. I have also supported my mom financially as much as I have been able to, as well as helping my mom through 2 hard battles with Covid 19. And, as we as a society have started to learn how to live with Covid, in-person activities and conventions are picking back up, which provides a lot of hope for my mom's sales to pick back up to pre-covid levels.

However, the current hurdle my mom faces will not be surmountable without help. My mom is required to renew her license to sell at these sorority conventions once a year. The cost of the license renewal is $10,000. Because of the economic hardship of the last 2 years, she no longer had the upfront funds to renew this license. As of now, she is not allowed to sell or advertise any jewelry associated with these conventions. This has also resulted in a loss of current revenue, which has built up its own financial issues as she must continue to care for herself and my little brother, who she raises as a single parent. Bills are starting to become and will be a very serious issue if this is unable to be resolved.

With that, I ask that everyone, out of the goodness of your heart, to please help my mom as much as you are able to. The goal is to get as much of the license cost covered as possible so that my mom is able to recover her source of income and not lose her business to Covid 19 right as she almost was able to make it out the other side. If she is not able to achieve this goal, that means she will not be able to recover her source of revenue, so any of the funds collected will be important to hold her over and take care of my little brother until she is able to get a new source of income (prior to the making of this GFM she has already started certification training to this end)
