We’ve created this GoFundMe for our dear friend Kathy Sayward.

We want to give you some background for those who don’t know of Kathy’s recent medical issues.

Before Christmas, Kathy started feeling ill, and her condition went from bad to worse very quickly. After being rushed to Anna Jacques Hospital, at which point she didn't even know her name, the doctors immediately started treating her for an undiagnosed kidney infection that had already spread to her blood. Things went from bad to worse when Kathy was diagnosed with pneumonia and was experiencing severe difficulty breathing. Kathy was on a very high amount of oxygen. Finally, she was transferred to Lahey Medical Center in Burlington, Massachusetts, to give her the intensive care she required. The situation was very grim, and honestly, we didn’t know what the outcome would be.

BUT.... we all know what a fighter Kathy is and the power of prayer that she had behind her! Kathy has overcome so much during her past six years in recovery. She is a true inspiration to so many of us in the recovery community. Kathy is always the first to reach out to those in need and has often taken care of others after injuries and surgeries. Kathy is always reaching out and helping in any way she can.

Kathy is home now, and for that, we are so grateful; however, it will take a lot of time and physical therapy to return to any work. She tends to overdo things and put too much on herself, and we do not want this to happen. We would love to help give Kathy the space she needs to heal by removing her financial worries until returning to work.
