I’ve created this fundraiser on behalf of my mother, Denise Vecchiarelli.

No parent can prepare for the death of a child, and no one can take away the pain and grief that comes with such a tragedy.

We are overwhelmed with sadness, by the unexpected passing of a sweet, fun-loving son, and a caring brother to all of us, Alexander Nicholas Vecchiarelli.

On Friday, October 9th, 2020, Alex was just 20 years old when he tragically lost his life in his sleep. He had so much more to do and so many goals left to accomplish.

His sudden and tragic loss leaves a void that can never be filled, especially in the lives of his Mother, Denise, his younger brother Nathaniel, and his older sister Heather who wish so deeply that they could have their Alexander back.

While they attempt to put one foot in front of the other each day following Alex’s loss, there are still funeral costs and financial obligations to be made. Although there isn’t a thing in the world that can ease this pain, those of us who loved Alex can try and ease the financial burden as best we can.

To know Alexander was to love him. Alexander was a devoted, life-long friend - one you could always rely on. His hugs were empathetic, heartfelt and protective. You could count on him to be there to support you and to heal a room with his infectious smile.

He could always be found out looking for an adventure whether it be fishing or hiking to waterfalls, cooking for family and friends, or dreaming of making a move to the Colorado mountains.

He was loved deeply by his entire family and friends. There is and will always be a missing space in our lives, our families, a forever-hole-in-our-hearts. We feel the love, the grief, the joy that he brought into our lives, and the pain that fills us in his absence. 

Alex will be forever missed, always loved and never forgotten.
