Lacy's Surgery

If you know me, you probably know my dog Lacy. I rescued her 7 years ago from a kill shelter while in college. She has been with me through college graduations, 4 moves, life changes, performances, adventures and has impacted the lives of so many people along the way. Lacy loves everyone! When I was in grad school, I had her certified as a therapy dog and started bringing her to a school for students with severe disabilities. Lacy is the best at bringing a smile to your face and joy to so many people.
Just a couple of weeks ago, my dog Lacy went in for a routine vet appointment. They took cells from a lump that I noticed. After further testing, we discovered that it was a mast cell tumor. I then brought her to a specialist and they did further testing determining that at this point, the cancer has not spread. The location of the tumor makes for a tricky surgery but it seems that removing the tumor could be a complete cure. This has all happened so quickly and right after an exciting life event of buying a house which leaves me with very little to pay for this extensive surgery. In my mind, there is truly no decision to be made. I will do what needs to be done to help cure my dog.
I am not one to ask for help, but when I heard that this was Lacy’s best chance to beat cancer I decided to give this a try to help cover some of the costs of this surgery. I truly appreciate any donation you can make. Your positive thoughts for my sweet pup are greatly appreciated.
