My husband Moshe, known to some of you as Wade, was injured this past Sunday, while coaching hockey for our community children. He has a subdural hematoma, which is a small brain bleed, with a concussion, and a head wound that was stitched up. We are grateful to God because this injury could have been so much worse, but because Moshe works in construction, he has been ordered to rest completely, for at least 7-10 days. Moshe is the main provider for 2 households, with thank God, many children between us. He is self employed, so missing a week of work is an impossible thought for him, but missing this particular week, will be devastating for our family.

Moshe's current project has had several delays, that do happen in this business, through no fault of his own. We have been living hand to mouth for a few months now, behind on bills and rent, but with a material delivery last week, he knew that if he could work overtime all of this week, that he would be able to get paid for the next part of the project, and we could keep our heads above water. Because of the delays, we still owe money for our January rent, and also are late for this current month of February. Moshe has to keep his child support current, or there will be legal repercussions. He is the kind of man who will work through any pain or exhaustion, in order to provide for everyone else in need. I am very fearful that his anxiety over the bills, and his commitment to caring for all of us, will override common sense, and I am asking you to open your hearts and make a small donation, to help us get through this difficult month. I would like to hope that he will be back to normal in 10 days, but in all reality, he won't be able to work at his normal pace for quite some time. I know that if he was secure in knowing that things would be taken care of, that he would be able to get the rest that is needed for him to heal. We are modest, hard working people, who hustle every day to make ends meet. We live a very simple life, and would not dream of asking for help unless we were truly left without a choice.

We have an additional issue, with my own health, which is also effecting our financial state. I had my cervix completely removed in a surgical biopsy 3 weeks ago, and I am scheduled for a hysterectomy on March 16th. Although my biopsy results are stable, it is still not an ideal situation. My work hours are limited because I also have a physical job, and I am also not allowed to lift more than a few pounds. The loss of my income has caused great stress, but Moshe takes it all on himself, without complaint. I will be recovering for a minimum of 4 weeks, unable to work, and all before Passover, the most difficult time of the year to be short on money and unable to do the most basic things like cleaning, driving, or shopping. The preparation for the holiday will fall again completely on Moshe's shoulders, after he already works back breaking days. I'm afraid that if we can't catch up on our bills very soon, that our homelife and business will sink completely. We need help to pay our rent and utilities to keep a home for our children, co pays and deductibles for Moshe's hospital stay, his child support payments, and enough to cushion us through my surgery and allow us to make a modest Passover. Moshe is a ba'al teshuva, and I am a convert, so going home for the holiday is not an option for us. It is very hard and embarrassing to publicly share our struggles, but I am really at a loss of where else to turn. God has always provided for us, and I know that he will provide for us through any avenue available. Please consider sending any amount of charity that you can spare, and I promise to you, that when we are on solid ground, we will pay it forward to those in need. I am happy to share references, that will prove the severity of our situation. All who need a refuah or parnassah should be blessed. Tizku L'Mitsvot
