It is with a humble heart that I️ start this fundraiser,. This is hard for me to do, yet all options have been explored... I️ was denied unemployment, can’t claim disability, and only receive $135.00 a week from my job, which covers my insurance. I️ have exhausted all my funds to stay afloat and don’t really know what else to do. With unexpected complications from my surgery, 80 lb weight loss since August.. I️ am left very weak. I’m not sure when I️ can return to work and have a second surgery upcoming to remove my illiostomy bag.. I️ am embarrassed to need this outlet and humbled beyond words. All monies raised will be used for rent and utilities to keep us going til I️ can work again. My job is secure to go back to, when I️ am able. Update on Feb 11th:
This journey has been beyond humbling. I went to see my surgeon on 31 January and learned that I now also have a hernia. Internally I am healing well and the surgery will be scheduled soon to reverse the ileostomy bag. At the same time they do that surgery they will repair the hernia. In the meantime I have a consultation with the doctor that will be performing the surgery on the hernia. Unfortunately that means another trip down to LA, and a slight delay for the next surgery. I have begun selling things around my home make ends meet. Along with the help I have received from my family and friends, I try to do my part. It is scary to not know how bills will be paid. But worrying is not good for me either. Balancing out life with a trusting attitude and a positive outlook, while being faced with failing health issues takes talent and a sense of humor. When I was told I had a hernia I just laughed. It just seemed like of course I have a hernia, because I certainly haven’t had enough bad things happening to me LOL. Sometimes all you can do is laugh at how ridiculous life is . My life is full of wonderful kind friends and family that have supported me through this crazy life. I am forever grateful for those that have prayed for me, send good thoughts, monetarily helped me, called and checked on me, and genuinely love me. My heart is To pay it forward when this is all over.
