My name is Tina, I'm making this GoFundMe to try and help two of our closest friends, Samantha and Kevin. About 6 months ago they were told Kevins aortic valve was allowing backflow causing him to stay in congestive heart failure and would need a heart transplant. Last Monday they drove up to Cleavland for a second opinion. There they ran extensive test after test finally coming to the decision they would be able to replace his valve with a cow valve. They were able to successfully perform the surgery Friday morning. As of right now Kevin is stable but will remain in the ICU until further notice. From what the doctors have projected with such an invasive and extensive surgery after he's moved out of the ICU they could want to keep him for up too three months. The hospital has been very helpful and compassionate, they have generously put Samanta up in a hotel since they are only allowed one visitor in the room with him for 15 minute every 2 hours. With all of this being said Kevin is the main source of income and his wife Samantha had lost her job in the midst of making sure Kevin has got taken care of, I wanted to create this GoFundMe to try and take some of the extra stress off of them. All proceeds will go towards making sure their bills are paid while their focused on Kevins recovery and getting him home healthy. Any changes in Kevins status will be updated as we hear them.
